Ruf Unveils Carbon-Fibre CTR Supercar
Ruf has unveiled the new generation CTR, made completely out of carbon fibre, which will be limited to just 30 examples.
Ruf, the famous Porsche tuner has unveiled the new generation CTR, developed completely in-house by the family owned business situated in Pfaffenhausen, Germany.

The latest CTR will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show, and the car is the first with a carbon-fibre tub and the engine mounted at the rear. The new CTR is the fourth in the line of CTR supercars, which began 30 years with the famous CTR ‘Yellowbird'.

The latest CTR gets a 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine that the engineers from Ruf have managed to extract 700bhp and 880Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The car is rear-wheel drive only and gets a limited-slip differential.

Ruf claims that the new CTR can hit 0 to 100km/h in less than 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 225mph (362km/h). The entire car's body is made of carbon-fibre, and the interior gets Alcantara as well, to keep the car's overall weight as low as possible.

Other features the CTR boasts of is a double-wishbone suspension in a push rod configuration, 19-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in 245 section front and 305 section rear tyres, and carbon ceramic brakes for all four wheels which make the car weigh only 1197kg.

The production of the new CTR will begin early 2018 and numbers will be limited to just 30 units, making the new CTR very exclusive. Another car to watch out for during the Geneva Motor Show is the new Aston Martin Valkyrie, pictured in the image gallery below.
