The manufacturer will name the production model as the AMG GT4 to indicate its visual and performance relation to the AMG GT Coupe.
The Mercedes-AMG has previewed the GT concept with a sketch before it's officially unveiling at the Geneva motor show next week. The four-door upcoming sports car will rival the famous Porsche Panamera in the global market.

The Stuttgart-based manufacturer has offered no details apart from the given sketch. It is expected that the car will be an entirely new four-door coupe. Earlier, some reports suggested that it is a for the CLS Shooting Brake with a liftback rear end to compete with Porsche's Panamera Sports Tourer.

The manufacturer will name the production model as the AMG GT4 to indicate its visual and performance relation to the AMG GT Coupe. The new model will be based on company's MRA modular platform shared with the C63, E63 and S63 models.

The AMG GT would feature the E63 S' 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 that cranks out 604bhp and 850Nm of torque. The E-Class sedan is capable of making a sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.
