2016 Detroit Auto Show: BMW Showcases M2 Coupe
The BMW M2 coupe has made its public debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. The M2 was unveiled by BMW a few moths back and is expected to go sale in April 2016.

Style wise, the BMW M2 features sculpted air intakes up front, the wheel arches are flared and the rear remind one of the limited run 1M coupe. The classic quad exhausts are also present.
The BMW M2 is powered by a 3-litre straight six engine which is aided by a single twin-scroll turbo and produces 364bhp and 465Nm of torque. An over boost function adds an extra 35Nm of torque between 1,450 and 4,750rpm. The engine temperature is kept down with the help of an extra water cooler.
0 – 100km/h takes 4.3 seconds when the engine is paired with the seven-speed dual clutch transmission, which drops by 0.2 seconds with the six-speed manual transmission. Top speed is limited to 250km/h.
The M2 features an electronically controlled limited-slip differential as standard. The M2 also features the same DCT gearbox, brakes, front and rear axles, crankshaft and pistons from it larger sibling the BMW M4 Coupe.
