Mercedes Showcases GLC SUV At The 2016 Auto Expo
Mercedes has unveiled the GLC SUV at the 2016 Auto Expo. The GLC replaces the GLK in the Mercedes SUV portfolio
Engine & Gearbox Specifications
The German carmaker is displaying the GLC 300 4-matic variant of the new SUV at their stall.

- Engine Capacity - 2.0-litres
- Power - 240bhp @5,500rpm
- Torque - 370Nm @1,300rpm
- Mileage - 10.2km/l
The engine is mated to a 9-speed gearbox that sends the power to all four wheels. Owners can also use the paddle shifters to change gears as well.

Design & Features
The GLC borrows a lot of styling cues from the sedan which it is related — The Mercedes C-Class. This is evident in the headlights and the taillamps.
The front of the car is dominated by a two-slat grille with the large 3-pointed star right in the centre. Flanking it on both sides are the angular headlamps with integrated Daytime running LED's.
The sides of the car feature pumped up wheelarchesThe taillamps are LED units as well and take their graphics from the C-Class as well.
The interiors feature a rather large touchscreen infotainment system which looks like it is floating off tthe top of the dash. Also seen are swathes of leather everywhere as well as wooden inserts.
The GLC comes with a host of safety features like ABS with EBD, Hill assist along with multiple airbags.
Availability & Rivals
The Mercedes GLC is expected to lanch in India later this year and will go up against the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5.
