2016 Auto Expo: Quirky Honda NAVI Bike/Scooter Crossover Launched

Honda has launched the quirky new Navi Crossover in India at the 2016 Auto Expo. Prices for the Navi Bike/Scooter crossover start at Rs. 39,500 ex-showroom (Delhi).

Engine And Gearbox Specifications

Engine Fuel Type - Petrol
Engine Capacity - 109.2 cc
Power - 8 bhp @ 7500 rpm
Torque - 8.83Nm @ 5500 rpm

The single cylinder engine is mated to an automatic gearbox.

Brakes And Suspension

Honda has fitted its Combi-brake system to bring the new Navi to a halt. To deal with the bumps on the road, Honda has fitted the Navi with Telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear.

Style

The Honda Navi takes its styling cues from Honda's offroad bikes, but all of it has been miniaturized to give it a smaller profile. The rounded off rectangular headlamp without any fairing looks quite cool, though the wheels look quite small. There is also a storage provided at the front of the NAVI.

Color Options And Variants

The NAVI is available in five color options — Patriot Red, Hopper Green, Shasta White, Sparky Orange and Black.

Honda showed off three variations of the NAVI at the Auto Expo — the NAVI street, the NAVI adventure and the NAVI off-road.

Pricing, Availability, Bookings & Rivals

Prices for the Honda NAVI start at Rs. 39,500 ex-showroom (Delhi) and prospective owners can book their own bikes on the Android Application. Bookings begin today, Feb 3, 2016, and the first batch of NAVIs will reach their owners in April 2016

Currently, the NAVi has no rivals in the market and will instead compete with the rest of the scooters on sale in India.
