2016 Auto Expo: Chevrolet Essentia Concept Breaks Cover
Chevrolet has revealed the Essentia Concept compact sedan at the 2016 Auto Expo. The Essentia Concept is expected to make it into production in 2017.
Engine and Gearbox Details
The Essentia is expected to use the same engines found on the Beat Hatchback. the 1.2-litre STEC II petrol engine that is good for 77bhp and 107Nm and the 1.0L diesel engine that pushes out 56bhp and 142.5Nm. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Style
The Essentia takes the funky looks of the Beat and tones them down just a bit to add a bit more maturity and sophistication.
Chevrolet's family face of the dual-port grille and the elliptical headlamps are all present. Also added on is a small boot.
Features
Space wise, the Chevrolet Essentia is expected to seat 5 people quite comfortably as well as provide enough space in its boot for all their luggage.
Also on the features list is Chevrolet's MyLink touchscreen infotainment system that features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Availability And Rivals
The Chevrolet Essentia is expected to launch in 2017 in India with prices expected to be near the 4.5 - 5 lakh mark. it is expected to undercut all it major rivals including the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and the Hyundai Xcent.
