Beat Essentia: Chevrolet's Compact Sedan To Be Unveiled At Auto Expo

The compact sedan market In India is very competitive, and the leader in this segment is the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. Now, Chevrolet will come up with a compact sedan, based on the Beat hatchback named 'Chevrolet Essentia' to compete in this segment.

The Chevrolet Beat Essentia will be launched around 2017 according to ET Auto, but will be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo, scheduled to take place in Delhi. Powering the Chevrolet Beat Essentia compact sedan will be the same 1.0-litre diesel and the 1.2-litre petrol engines that power the hatchback.

Once GM launches the Essentia, it will compete with models such as the Maruti Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, and the Ford Figo Aspire. Along with the Essentia, Chevrolet will showcase the Spin MPV and a crossover model of the Beat hatchback at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo.
