Honda Unveils CBR 150 R Launch - Details
The Honda CBR is a brand name that has been in existence since 28 years. The iconic CBR started of with the CBR 400 F way back in 1983 and now the latest model to carry this tag is the all new Honda CBR 150R launched here in India at the ongoing 11th Indian Auto Expo in Delhi.
The CBR 250R has been a very successful sports bike that has set a benchmark in the segment. The 250R has been credited for being the affordable global sports bike and the new version will be even more affordable.
The 150R carries the same dynamic styling as its more powerful counterpart. It is powered by a light DOHC 150cc engine that can generate 18bhp at 10,500rpm. The CBR 150R is equipped with disk brakes both at the front and rear wheels, mono suspension and tubeless tyres to offer seamless sporty performance.
Honda has not announced the price of the new CBR 150R yet. However sources say it is expected to be priced around the Rs.1.2 lakh mark. This price will make is a close alternative to bikes such as the Yamaha R15 and the Pulsar 220.
The CBR 150R will be available in two variants – standard and Deluxe. The standard will be available with two colour options – black with pearl sunbeam white and sports red and pearl sunbeam white. The Deluxe will also be available with dual tones colours which are – black with candy palm green and vibrant orange with pearl sunbeam white.
