Primavera is the Italian word for ‘Spring'. The Primavera word was first used for a Vespa model in 1968. The name has been resurrected with the 2014 model.

Vespa Primavera has been launched with three engine variants - 50cc, 125cc and 150cc. The 50cc engine comes in two stroke and three stroke variants.

Vespa claims the best mileage delivered by Primavera is 64 kmpl. Though it has not been mentioned, it will undoubtedly be the 50cc engine that's the most efficient.

The 2014 Vespa Primavera carries a few design features from the LX model such as the face of the scooter. But the design also has telltale design features of the 946.

A few notable design elements include the redesigned seat, exhaust muffler, the five spoke wheels among others. Underseat storage is now more spacious as well.

At the front 200mm disc brake will be provided, while a drum brake does business at the rear.

The instrument cluster contains both analog and LCD elements, which gives the best of both worlds.

Vespa Primavera will launch in India in 2014 and could even be displayed at the Auto Expo in Feb. Pricing details have not been revealed.
