Toyota Me.We concept has an aluminium structure, which is covered with panels made from tough plastic. Not only does this make the car easy to produce, but also provides many options for those wanting to personalize the car.

Toyota has also used bamboo in Me.We's construction. The bamboo covers the floor and the horizontal structure. Beside making the car aesthetically appealing, bamboo has also been chosen because its a renewable material and saves weight.

The use of aluminium, polycarbonate panels and bamboo has enabled Toyota to maintain the weight at just 750 kg. The plastic panels contribute only 14 kg to the overall weight.

Quite naturally, Me.We is an electric car that is powered by motors in its wheels, powered by a battery pack below the floor panel. This allows for maximum space to be utilized for the cabin.
