Skoda Rapid Xin Rui For China Launched
Skoda Rapid Xin Rui is the fourth Skoda model to be launched in China. The new Rapid Xin Rui is on display at the ongoing 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. The Skoda Rapid Xin Rui will be available in China from April. Along with the Rapid Xin Rui, Skoda will also introduce the new Yeti compact SUV in China. The automaker hopes to increase sales to half a million units per year.
The new Skoda Rapid Xin Rui has been developed as a classic notchback saloon. The new Rapid has an extra spacious interior that suits the needs the Chinese customers. Engines provided with the Rapid Xin Rui are a 1.4kW MPI/66 and the 1.6 kW MPI/81. The Xin Rui is customized to the needs of Chinese customers and will be offered with a total of nine different packages.
"The SKODA Rapid is crucial for our growth in the next few years," says SKODA's CEO Winfried Vahland. "China in particular is a key growth market for us. We are looking to expand here in the coming years with the Rapid and other new models. The Rapid has everything going for it to become another successful model of our brand in China. It boasts roominess, expressive design, great value, high functionality, comprehensive safety features, and economical engines. This is the new SKODA class for China," says Vahland.
