Geneva: Rolls-Royce Wraith Details And Images
The most powerful Rolls-Royce ever is here. After teasing us with crafty and artistic images of the Wraith, Rolls-Royce has now officially revealed the details, along with a bevy of beautiful images.
"Today
we
launch
the
ultimate
gentlemen's
gran
turismo,
a
car
that
embodies
the
spirit
of
Charles
Stewart
Rolls," commented
Torsten
Müller-Ötvös,
CEO
Rolls-Royce
Motor
Cars.
"The
most
powerful
Rolls-Royce
in
history,
Wraith
promises
the
sense
of
adventure
and
speed
that
drove
our
founding
forefather.
But
of
course,
Wraith's
starting
point
is
luxury,
refinement
and
quality,
traits
that
remain
as
important
to
Rolls-Royce
customers
today
as
they
were
more
than
a
century
ago."
A Starry Night
Besides the sumptuous interior done in Phantom grade leathers and expensive wood, the Wraith has a roof that is filled with 1,340 optic lamps, which promise to make you forget you are in a car, by giving the impression of a starry night sky.
Engine
A Rolls-Royce has always symbolised luxury and royalty, but what about power. The Wraith is no slouch in this case. It is powered by a V12 engine with 624 BHP and 800 Nm of torque.
Transmission
An 8 speed automatic ZF transmission reins in all that power and transfers it to the rear wheels.
Performance
The Wraith weighs 2,360 kilos, but the power produced is enough to take it from 0 to 100km/h in 4.2 seconds. Top speed has not been announced yet.
Adaptive suspension system
About the suspension Rolls-Royce says, it has "been tuned to minimise body roll and discreetly amplify feedback when cornering; while steering weight is heavier at high speeds and lighter at low speeds adding to the spirited drive."
Satellite Aided Transmission
Debuting for the first time, this revolutionary technology uses GPS to look ahead of the driver and anticipate road conditions and driving style for unprecedented driving comfort.
Rolls Royce Wraith is the epitome of luxury and comfort when it comes to automobiles and will be...till the next Rolls Royce comes out. More details will be announced in the coming days.
