Ram Debuts Rumble Bee Concept At Woodward Dream Cruise
The original Rumble Bee was a pickup truck that was introduced to pay tribute to the Super Bee muscle car of the 1960. Now, on the Rumble Bee's 10th anniversary Ram has unveiled a tribute concept truck to pay tribute to the tribute truck.
The Rumble Bee Concept truck was unveiled yesterday at the Woodward Dream Cruise event in detroit. But it is something that Ram has done that we do not quite understand. They have embedded a dead bee inside the truck.

Rumble Bee Concept, which celebrates the original Rumble Bee from 2003, is aactually a 2013 Ram 1500 R/T.

Rumble Bee Concept sports the same colour theme as the 2003 vehicle. The exterior is done in "Drone Yellow" matte finish and gloss black stripes running along the side of the truck.

The wheels, measuring 24 inches and covered in low profile tyres is also painted gloss black. The body also gets Mopar ground effects kit.

Other parts done in gloss black are the exhaust tips, front grille, fuel cap, mirror caps and the Ram logo.

The two tone yellow-black theme is seen on the inside as well. The seat cover is mostly grey with yellow mesh seats and contrasting stitching. The Ram and Rumble Bee logo are seen on the seats, floor mats and door panels.

Here is the wierd part. An actual dead bee has been encased in the 8 speed rotary shifter knob. The knob lights up, revealing a honeycomb pattern. Honeycomb pattern can also bee seen on the dashboard and center console.

For the engine Ram has gone with the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 unit, rated at 395 HP and 407 lb-ft of torque.

The engine is mated to a TorqueFlite 8 speed automatic transmission which drives the rear wheels.

At the press of a button exhaust will bypass the Mopar cat-back dual exhaust system, generating thundering exhaust notes.

"The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee continues to have a strong fan base and what better place to celebrate its 10-year anniversary than Woodward Dream Cruise," said Reid Bigland, President and CEO of Ram Truck Brand, Chrysler Group LLC.
"There's a lot of energy surrounding concept trucks and buzz models, and the Ram Design Team revels in creating something that is unique for our customers to enjoy."
