Chevrolet Unveils New Corvette Stingray In Detroit
Chevrolet has unveiled an all new Corvette sports car at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The new car has been named as the New Corvette Stingray, bringing back the iconic name plate back to the Corvette.
The New Corvette is everything an American sports car should be - fast, powerful and beautiful. It is now powered by a 450bhp V8 engine that deliver a peak torque output of 610Nm. The New Corvette Stingray is also the fastest ever Corvette and can accelerate to 60mph within four seconds.
General Motors North America President Mark Reuss while introducing the new Corvette Stingray said: " Like the '63 Sting Ray, the best Corvettes embodied performance leadership, delivering cutting-edge technologies, breathtaking design and awe-inspiring driving experiences. The all-new Corvette goes farther than ever, thanks to today's advancements in design, technology and engineering."
The New Corvette Stingray does not share many parts with its predecessor. Along with a new engine, the New Corvette also gets a new chassis and frame and redesigned interior and exterior design.
The New Corvette Stingray will be launched in North America during the third quarter of 2013. Chevrolet will be announcing the sports car's price during its launch. But until then enjoy some of the images of the sports car in the photo feature below.
