The original car launch on the other hand is not too far away either, with the Geneva Motor Show right around the corner. For those who do not know it yet, Veneno is the special car that Lamborghini had promised it would reveal at the Geneva Motor Show to celebrate its 50th year.

Keeping to its traditional style of naming its supercars after bulls, Lamborghini is calling this the Veneno or venom/poison in Spanish, a fierce fighting bull.

The images have been sourced from The Sunday Times as well as Autoforum.cz, the latter had earlier leaked images of the Lamborghini Aventador J roadster ahead of its reveal.

The Lamborghini Veneno has the same carbon monocoque chassis as the Aventador LP700-4, while the 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 has been upgraded, which is now said to deliver 740 HP, 40 more than regular.

A 7 speed electronically assisted manual gearbox transfers power to all four wheels, pushing the Veneno to a claimed top speed of 345 km/h or 220 mph.

Price for the Veneno is pegged at £3.1 million or around US$ 4.6 million or 3.6 million euros. Only three have been made and all three have already been sold.
