Kawasaki J Concept EV Showcased At Tokyo Motor Show
People from early 20th century had the strangest ideas about how the future would turn out. They presumed by the 21st century civilization would live in the skies, drive flying cars and travelling by jet packs and what not. We now know none of their dreams have come true.

Nevertheless, dreaming and envisioning a future is what makes us humans. Hence, the new Kawasaki J concept, unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013, can be regarded as an exercise in attempting to predict the future. So, though we know for sure we'll never see the Kawasaki J anytime in the near future, or perhaps ever, it is still arouses our interests. Take a look.

Kawasaki J concept is a three wheeled vehicle, a cross between a motorcycle and a tricycle.

Kawasaki J concept comes with three wheels - two at the front and one at the rear. But it can also function like a two wheeler.

In Comfort Mode the two front wheels are spread apart and the J has a raised stance, providing a more comfortable position to the rider.

Sport Mode, ideal for high speeds, brings the front wheels closer together and the bike lowers itself for a lower center of gravity. In this mode the rider becomes one with the machine, making for a more aerodynamic unit.

Steering is achieved via two levers positioned on the inside of each wheel, which seem like they are used to lean the vehicle rather than steer.

Lastly, Kawasaki J concept is designed to run not on lithium ion battery pack, but a bespoke ‘GIGACELL' nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) one. But for all we know a motorcycle of the future like this one could well be running on fusion power.
