Infiniti Q30 Concept Revealed In First Image
This is how Infiniti's Q30 Concept Frankfurt show car looks. The Q30 Concept, revealed earlier as a sketch, will be Infiniti's first compact luxury car going forward. The production version of the Q30 Concept, which will launch sometime during 2015 will go against cars such as BMW 1 Series, Audi Q3 and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA Class.
But if you try to categorize Q30 Concept under a segment you might fail to do so since Infiniti has deliberately designed the car incorporating characteristics of hatchbacks, coupes and crossovers.

By doing so the design team headed by Infiniti's Executive Design Director Alfonso Albaisa have tried to merge " the dynamic design and sportiness of a coupe, the roominess of a hatch and the higher stance of a crossover," which they believe is what that will set the Q30 apart.
Development of the Q30 Concept will also be influenced by Infiniti's ‘Director of Performance', three time F1 world champion, Sebastian Vettel, who will provided his inputs particularly in improving the performance and handling of the car.

The Q30 Concept is built on the MLA platform which facilitates front wheel drive. The platform will also allow Infiniti to bring out an all wheel drive version of the Q30 in the future. Production is expected to be carried on in Nissan's Sunderland facility in the UK to cater to European market.
Stay tuned for more details about the Q30 Concept that will emerge upon launch on September 10 during the press day at Frankfurt Auto Show.
