India Bike Week Sweeps Bike Enthusiasts

India has finally got its first proper motorcycle festival in the form of the India Bike Week (IBW) which concluded yesterday on the serene beeches of Goa. India Bike Week can be considered a very different motorcycle show as it is not a brand specific event. Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts owning different bikes participated in the IBW.

The India Bike Week was a big party for bike enthusiasts. The event was held at Vagator, Goa, where more than seven acres was specifically designed to host the event. The event was a combination of motorcycles, fun and celebration.

More than 4,000 enthusiasts joined the event on the opening day of India Bike Week on 2nd February. Here are more interesting things. 26 Live Bands & DJ's, 3 Concert Stages, 100+ amazing Bikes, 16 Cage Fighters, the Cigar & Whiskey Club & Howling Dog Bar, Biker Build Off, Flea Markets, 2 Race Tracks, Stunt Zones, Tattoo Stall and the Vintage Bike Concours.

Stunt biking enthusiasts saw the best of the lot when world famous rider Mattie Griffin and a whole bunch of Indian stunt riders performed in the Stunt Zone. Dirt riding enthusiasts enjoyed the specially built dirt track.

There should be a special mention of Harley Davidson when we are writing about India Bike week. Harley Davidson the main sponsor of the event celebrated its 10th anniversary in India with more than 300 motorcycles roaring through the streets of Vagator.
