Hyundai E4U Concept: An Easter Egg On Wheels
As far as concept personal mobility vehicles go Hyundai's latest creation can be counted among the most interesting and is at the same time, funny. The E4U personal mobility concept vehicle was showcased by the South Korean automaker at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show.
Hyundai E4U, as you can see, bears an uncanny resemblance to an egg, with its top open. The E4U is controlled in the same fashion as a segway - by swaying and tilting your body. The E4U does, however, look more stable than a segway, thanks to a retractable side support wheel. The feature that is the least appealing is the roof, which also performs as a helmet and the windshield. We would not wear it if did not wise to lose our dignity.
Hyundai E4U is run by a 500 watt motor, powered by a 24 volt battery. Top speed for the 80 kg (176 lbs) E4U is 30 km/h (1836 mph).
