Indian auto market is noticeably devoid of a proper tourer/estate vehicle. A car which can be used for long tours and has enough space to accommodate an entire family, along with articles required for the entire length of the holiday.

The sort of car which we are talking about is the Honda Civic Tourer. A brand new estate vehicle that is based on the Civic hatchback and is scheduled to break cover at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September. Read about it below and tell us whether Honda should consider this for India, rather than a compact MPV based on the Brio.

"At first glance it is clear that the Civic Tourer does not look like other Wagons. Recently-launched cars have tended to follow a similar style. The Civic Tourer has a different balance and appeal." Adrian Killham, Large Project Leader, Civic Tourer.
