Audi A1 With R18 Competition Kit At Worthersee
Audi has made itself a name at Le Mans lately and the automaker wants to extend that aura to its production cars. Their A1 hatchback, revealed at the 2013 Worthersee Tour is an example. The Audi A1 comes with a special Le Mans R18 inspired package.
Do not for a second make the mistake of thinking that the package has turned the A1 into a superhatch. The package is only skin deep. It is merely a Le Mans R18 themed styling package. Nevertheless, the R18 Competition kit adds some character to the A1 hatchback, which raises its visual appeal significantly.
The Audi A1 Le Mans R18 special edition still retains the standard engine and regular suspensions. Audi has until now restrained from introducing the A1 luxury hatch in India. But, with its rivals Mercedes and BMW, both about to launch hatchback models in the country we wouldn't be surprised if Audi decides to get into the fray. Images and details of the Audi A1 R18 Le Mans special edition can be found in the gallery below.
