The Impressive New Mercedes CLA 45 AMG
The AMG edition of the Mercedes CLA sedan, the 45 AMG, debuted in New York sports a truly impressive AMG engine. In fact, the German automaker says it is the most powerful four cylinder production engine in the world.
With just a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder mill the CLA 45 AMG manages to produce an astonishing 355 HP of power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 332 lb-ft between 2,250 and 5,000 rpm. Do you find yourself asking what the big deal is? The deal is that the engine produces 178 hp per liter! The CLA 45 AMG can reach 60 mph from a standstill in just 4.5 seconds, but what a shame that top speed is restricted to 150 mph (250 km/h). The CLA 45 AMG uses a version of the 4MATIC all wheel drive system, with a seven speed dual clutch transmission. CLA45 AMG has a starting price of $47,450 or 37,067 euros or INR 25,76,252.
