Times Auto Expo In Bangalore Disappoints

The previous car shows in Bangalore had one great attraction – a display of vintage cars and vintage bikes. The Times Auto Expo did not have it. The display area was much smaller than previous events and these was not a single car on show that we had not seen on the street. One could easily say the event was organized to offer some new selling space for car dealers.
Some of the carmakers that had displayed their cars were Toyota, Hyundai, Volkswagen, Honda, Mitsubishi, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki and Skoda. The two wheeler companies that are displaying their products at the Times Auto Expo are Yamaha, TVS, Hero MotoCorp and Hyosung. None of them had any surprises for the visitors. Honda of all carmakers disappointed the most as its display area had the old City sedan rather than the recently unveiled version.
The show did offer some space for local accessory sellers who had put up stalls. Some of the interesting products were an ECU that will increase mileage of a diesel car, increase power or both, a anti theft car tracking device and a new music system from LG.
