Bajaj Auto Has Re-Christened The Kratos 400 For Indian Market
Bajaj Auto has renamed its soon to be launched Kratos 400. The flagship motorcycle will now be re-christened as the ‘Dominar 400’ due to some trademark issues.
Bajaj Auto recently announced that its CS400 prototype would go into production. The Indian manufacturer soon confirmed that their flagship offering would be christened 'Kratos 400'. Now, according to reports Bajaj has renamed the motorcycle once again as the 'Dominar 400'.
Kratos 400 name tag could not be used by Bajaj Auto owing to a trademark issue. Apparently, there is another two-wheeler in the world that uses a similar name. Expect an all-new advertising and branding campaign to commence pan India by December 2016.
Previously, Bajaj Auto was supposed to introduce its all-new flagship offering in India during 2016. Now, the launch of Dominar 400 by Bajaj has been further delayed. There is a possibility that Bajaj will launch Dominar 400 by next month and is expected to commence deliveries by 2017.
Powering the Bajaj Dominar 400 is a 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine will be capable of producing 35bhp and will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Once launched it will take on the likes of Royal Enfield in the Indian market.
