2016 Paris Motor Show: Renault Zoe Facelift Arrives With Massive Range Upgrade
French carmaker Renault has unveiled the facelifted ZOE electric hatchback at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
The new Zoe offers a denser battery pack that helps it lay claim to the longest range of any mainstream electric car on sale today.
The Zoe has a new battery pack which packs 41kWh of usable power.
The denser battery pack gives the facelifted zero-emissions hatch a NEDC range figure of 400 kilometres between visits to the socket. This is around 160 kilometres more than the current car.
In real world driving conditions, Renault expects the Zoe to last for around 299 kilometres which is around 129 more than the current car's range.
Renault claims that the range figure can be extended by 80 kilometres with the help of 30 minute charge using a standard charging socket.
The new Zoe is available in three variant with three different horsepower outputs - 76bhp, 87bhp, and 89bhp for the new range topping, mile munching Q90 variant.
