Ford Pro Insure Expands To Seven States With Pie Insurance Collaboration

Ford Pro Insure, a commercial auto insurance service, is now available in seven states: Maryland, Minnesota, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. This expansion aims to support Ford Pro vehicle fleets. Minnesota is the first state to offer a usage-based insurance option for Ford Pro Insure, which can assist customers with fleet management and cost control.

Ford Pro Insure is part of an ecosystem that includes vehicles, software, charging solutions, service, and financing to enhance productivity for Ford Pro customers. Underwritten by Ford Credit’s insurance subsidiary and powered by Pie Insurance, this coverage aims to provide comprehensive support for small and medium businesses.

Ford Pro Insure Grows to 7 States

Minnesota stands out as the first state where Ford Pro Insure offers two choices: a standard policy or a usage-based policy. The latter leverages data capabilities on new Ford Pro vehicles. "Enrollment in the usage-based policy earns a 10% discount for businesses and allows business owners greater influence over rates as they manage use of their fleets," said Craig Carrington, executive vice president of Ford Pro FinSimple.

Businesses enrolled in Ford Pro Telematics may be eligible for additional discounts. This innovative approach aims to provide more control over insurance costs based on actual vehicle usage.

Ford Pro Insure's availability has now extended to Maryland and Minnesota. "We’re continuing to bring Ford Pro Insure to new states, giving more Ford Pro customers another piece of the puzzle to have the most efficient and productive fleets they can," said Carrington. This move is part of a broader strategy to support small and medium businesses that play a crucial role in the economy.
