Mercedes-Benz Has A New Trick Up Its Sleeve To Tap Further Into The Indian Market
Mercedes-Benz India is looking to Tier II and Tier III cities for future growth.
India's largest luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz has been at the forefront in offering some of the best luxury cars in the country especially in bigger and urban cities.
The German carmaker holds a majority of the market share especially in the metros; however, its presence in smaller cities and towns is yet to reach its potential. The company wants to change that.
Mercedes-Benz India through its 'Brand Tour' will cover 12 locations to offer 'Mercedes-Benz experience' to potential buyers in Tier II and Tier III cities, where the company doesn't have a direct presence.
The company seeks to unlock the market potential in these smaller yet significant market in India, Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and CEO Roland Folger said in a statement, "Brand Tour is a curated plan that aims to unlock the market potential within smaller but faster-growing towns and cities of India,"

He added that these new cities are creating the next growth story for India and with its diverse market experience, it is confident that the new initiative would help it "reach to newer customers," and make its brand more accessible to potential and new customers.
The 'Brand Tour' began in early October 2017 from Jalgaon, Agra, Salem and will travel to nine more cities, before the end of 2017. With this new approach, Mercedes-Benz wants to "provide the customers in these markets a unique platform to experience a luxury marquee like Mercedes-Benz."
