Max Verstappen Buys A Porsche 911 GT3 RS After Dad Gives Him The Nod
Max Verstappen, the youngest Formula One racer and the youngest F1 winner has treated himself to a shiny new Porsche 911 GT3 RS. It was not an buy though, since his father and manager had to give him the 'go ahead' nod.
According to a few reports, Max had to shell out around USD 400,000 (Rs. 2.69 crore) for the new car, while in the US it costs USD 176,895 (Rs. 1.19 crore), inclusive of destination and delivery.
Max taking delivery was confirmed by fellow Formula One Racer Mark Webber through twitter and by a Swedish newspaper called Blick. As per reports, Max's dad, Jos Verstappen said, "If Max wants to buy something costly, he must get permission from us first. Like now with his private car. But Max is very responsible on normal roads."
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a potent track-focused car made by the German carmaker and sports a 4.0-litre, six-cylinder engine that makes 493bhp. That is enough to rocket the car from a standstill to 100km/h in 3.3 seconds. Also, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS sports a rear axle steering system.
