Google Autonomous Cars Involved In 11 Accidents
The heated debate exists with many about the safety of self driven cars or autonomous cars. And just when people are on the verge of being convinced, comes breaking news-Google autonomous cars involved in 11 accidents!
But not to worry, Google claim that none of the accidents were actually the cars fault, they were just involved.
These 11 accidents over a time of 6 years have not injured anybody.
Out of 11 accidents, 7 accidents that involved autonomous prototypes were actually rear ended by other vehicles in the city at stop lights.
The other four accidents took place back in September 2014. Two out of the four cars were on self-driving mode while the accidents took place, but police reports have confirmed that the autonomous cars were not at fault.
At the moment, Google autonomous cars have been tested for almost 2.7 million km since the project initially started.
