Honda Activa 125

The Honda Activa 125 is one of the most popular scooters in the Indian market. The new Activa 125 was launched earlier this year. The company has added a number of features on the new 2018 Activa 125, making it more premium and upmarket.

The Honda Activa 125 is one of the best commuter scooters in India. The Activa nameplate is the most popular brands in the Indian scooter segment. The scooter comes with a slightly different design with the chrome accents at the front. Also the new generation Activa 125, now features LED headlamps, unlike the previous models which has halogen lights. The Honda Activa 125 is available in three trims: Drum, Drum Alloy and Disc.

The Honda Activa 125 is powered by a 124.9cc, fan-cooled engine. It produces 8.52bhp and 10.54Nm of torque, mated to a V-Matic gearbox. The scooter is lightweight and offers a relaxed upright riding position. The seats offer sufficient padding for comfortable riding, even for long rides. The suspension though, is a bit stiff, with the vibrations and jerks from the road, being felt directly by the rider.

The Honda Activa 125 also offers sharp braking, with the optional disc brakes available at the front. The Activa 125 comes with either 130mm front and rear drum brakes or the optional 190mm front disc. Both versions, however, offer Honda’s combi-brake system (CBS) as standard.

The Activa 125 is powered by the larger displacement 124cc engine. The Activa 125 is also offered with Honda’s HET technology. This gives the scooter, a decent performance, with improved fuel efficiency. The Honda Activa 125 claims to give an overall mileage figure of around 59km/l.

The Honda Activa 125 comes with a host of new features, compared to the previous generation. Some of the main features on the Activa 125: LED headlamps with position lights, digital-analogue instrument cluster with ECO speed indicator, chrome metal muffler cover, full metal body and 4-in-1 lock with seat opening switch.

The Activa 125 also features standard telescopic front suspension, along with a monoshock at the rear. The scooter also comes with 12-inch and 10-inch tubeless tyres at the front and rear, respectively.

The Honda Activa 125 is one of the best-selling scooters in its segment. The Activa nameplate has gained a lot of popularity over the years, becoming a common name in the Indian scooter segment. The 125cc offering, carries forward the nameplate, allowing it to offer a stiff competition in the segment.
