MotoGP India - Grand Prix of Bharat 2023

MotoGP is set to host a Grand Prix in September of this year, at Buddh International Circuit, Uttar Pradesh, India.

This will be the first time the Indian fanbase gets to see a MotoGP race on their home turf. However, this is not the only event of such high regard to be hosted here.

MotoGP was founded in 1949 by the FIM. It is currently one of the oldest World Championships in existence.

It was in October of 2011 when we go to see one of the most prestigious, global motorsporting events, Formula One (F1), to have taken place in our home country.

One of the most significant moments at the Buddh Circuit was when Sebastian Vettel won his fourth F1 Drivers’ Championship in 2013, after securing first place.

Buddh International Circuit is a 5.125km long track designed by Hermann Tilke, a German Racetrack designer.

MotoGP currently has 22 riders on the grid, with two riders in each team. Some big names are Fabio Quartararo, Marc Marquez, Francesco Bagnaia, Maverick Vinales and Johann Zarco.

Some of the teams competing are Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, Ducati Lenovo, Repsol Honda, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, and Mooney VR46 Racing Team.

Tickets for this adrenaline-filled event can be bought on the official MotoGP website. However, it is not for sale just yet.

Having MotoGP in India may be a huge success as we are one of the biggest motorcycle markets globally with more than 200 million two-wheelers on the road.
