Yamaha India August, 2014 Sales Report
Japanese automobile giant Yamaha has a wide range of products on offer for India. They offer superbikes to scooters, however, they have opted to focus more on its scooter segment. They have also committed to launching new and interesting products soon.
Yamaha India has revealed their monthly sales figures for the month of August, 2014. The Japanese manufacturer has reported an increase in sales by nearly 24%. Customer initiatives and other engagement activities followed by excellent products are the major contributors.
Roy Kurian, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, expressed, "This month has seen only an extension of our continued success month after month. Our scooter offerings, especially ‘Alpha', have been a catalyst in giving us good numbers in addition to our popular motorcycle lineup."

He further added, "We have a strong presence in the 150cc deluxe segment and our FZ series is the second largest selling brand in the deluxe segment. The launches of FZ Version 2.0 and FZ-S Version 2.0 have further spurred our sales."
Yamaha India has revealed it sold 53,242 vehicles in the month of August, 2014. However, in the month of August, 2013 the Japanese manufacturer managed to sell 42,995 vehicles. This gives the manufacturer an increase of 24% in terms of sales, when compared to the corresponding year.

Yamaha currently offers three scooters Ray, Ray-Z and Alpha. They offer 13 motorcycles and three superbikes for India. Their direct import models include the FZ1, YZF-R1 and VMAX motorcycles. The Japanese manufacturer is expected to soon launch its R25 in India, which is highly anticipated.
