Vardenchi To Bring Moto Morini Scrambler & Granpasso To India
The historic Italian city of Bologna is famous for a wide variety of things. But for automobile enthusiasts the name Bologna is synonymous with two other names - Lamborghini and Ducati. Names that need no descriptions. But Bologna has nurtured yet another iconic automobile company that not many Indians know of. It's Moto Morini.
Moto Morini was founded in 1937 by Alfonso Morini, a self taught expert motorcycle builder. This year, this Italian motorcycle brand will come to India and we have Mumbai based Vardenchi to thank for it. If you do not yet know, Vardenchi is custom motorcycle house that specialises in chopper style bikes.
Vardenchi tied up with Moto Morini late last year and it will import and sell two models in India - the Scrambler and Granpasso 1200. These two new motorcycles will be launched in India at the Auto Expo 2014.

Interestingly, the Corsaro 1200 street bike will not be introduced at this point in time and the team has decided to concentrate on touring specific models.
Prices will be announced at launch during the Auto Expo 2014. We expect the bikes to be placed in the INR 15 lakh range. The first Moto Morini models will reach customers by mid year.
