Mahindra GenZe Electric Scooter To Be Launched In The U.S.
Mahindra GenZe is an all-electric scooter which the company will launch in the United States by the middle of this year. First revealed in September in the States, the GenZe has been undergoing development in Palo Alto, California and is part of a global initiative to promote green vehicles.
Mahindra GenZe is a lightweight electric scooter meant for quick, daily runabouts. The GenZe could be introduced in other countries, including China and India in the future, though the plan, at present, is to only launch it in the U.S.

Mahindra GenZe is a single-seater electric scooter with a large bucket in place of the rear seats for storage.
The large storage bucket is large enough to fit anything from grocery bags and medium sized luggage bags to laundry, making the GenZe an ideal city runabout.
Furthermore, dedicated underseat storage can hold laptops and smartphones, while being charged via a USB port at the same time.
In place of a conventional instrument cluster is a waterproof, 7-inch touch screen display. This Bluetooth-enabled display can provide a lot more information than a regular instrument panel such as battery charge status and available range.
While Mahindra has not released detailed technical specifications, the GenZe is likely to be powered by a lithium-ion battery. The electric motor is a small 1.4 kW unit with an expected top speed of 50 km/h. Range is not known yet.
Mahindra GenZe will be priced at around $3,000 (Rs 180,000).
Will Mahindra GenZe be successful if launched in India? Let us know in the comments section.
