Pure EV ecoDryft Electric Motorcycle Launched At Rs 99,999 - 130km Range
Hyderabad-based electric vehicle manufacturer Pure EV has launched the ecoDryft electric motorcycle in India.
Hyderabad-based electric vehicle manufacturer Pure EV has launched the ecoDryft electric motorcycle in India. The Pure EV ecoDryft is priced at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Rs 99,999 ex-showroom price is only applicable for customers purchasing the Pure EV ecoDryft in the nation's capital New Delhi. For customers purchasing the new ecoDryft electric motorcycle anywhere else in the country, the ex-showroom price is Rs 1,14,999. Deliveries will start on the 1st of March.
The Pure EV ecoDryft is powered by a 3.0kWh AIS 156 certified battery pack that allows for a range of up to 130km on a single charge. Charging the battery pack to full takes 6 hours with a 20 to 80 per cent charge taking 3 hours.
The ecoDryft has three riding modes - Drive, Cross Over and Thrill. The drive mode limits the top speed of the ecoDryft to 45km/h while the Cross Over mode raises that to 60km/h. Thrill mode allows the Pure EV eCoDryft to hit its top speed of 75km/h.
The battery pack is hooked up to an electric motor with a nominal output of 2.68bhp and a peak output of 4.2bhp. The torque output of the motor is a claimed 40Nm. Pure EV claims that the ecoDryft will go from 0-40 in 5 seconds and will hit 60km/h in 10.
In terms of its looks, the Pure EV ecoDryft looks like an entry-level commuter motorcycle with the engine area covered up and filled with batteries. The bike rides on an 18-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear and features a 7-inch TFT display with support for Bluetooth. The ecoDryft electric motorcycle is offered in four colour options - Black, Grey, Blue and Red.
Speaking at the price announcement, Rohit Vadera, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, PUREV Startup, said, "Over the last two months, we deployed demo vehicles across our 100+ dealerships PAN India for test drives and received phenomenal response from the consumers. The bookings are now open for ecoDryft across all of our dealerships and delivery of the first batch of vehicles to customers will begin from the 1st week of March.''
Thoughts About The Pure EV ecoDryft
The Pure EV ecoDryft promises a range of 130km on a single charge at an attractive price point for an electric bike which should hopefully attract those looking for an everyday commuter to its showrooms.
