Ola Electric Scooter Front Suspension Issue – Official Statement Out
Recently, an Ola S1 Pro user suffered serious injuries after the front suspension of the electric scooter broke off while the user was riding it.
According to the owner of the Ola S1 Pro, the front suspension of the electric scooter failed when the scooter was moving at a speed of just 35km/h. However, Ola Electric claims that its preliminary investigations revealed that the scooter suffered a high-impact road accident.
Though there have been a few reports of Ola electric scooter front suspension being broken in a similar fashion, these incidents can be considered extremely rare and unusual. However, a few netizens are pointing out at the unconventional single-fork setup of the Ola electric scooters for the issue.
Official Statement
Following this outlash on the internet, Ola Electric recently released an official statement, and in it, the company mentioned that it has provided all the necessary support to the family of the rider involved in the accident. The statement also added that the rider is safe and recovering from the injuries sustained.
Furthermore, Ola's official statement said that vehicle safety and quality standards are of the highest priority for the company and that the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter has been rigorously tested over a distance of more than 50 lakh kilometres across challenging terrains and all types of weather conditions.
Ola Electric also mentioned that more than 1,50,000 of its electric scooters are currently on the road and this particular issue has been faced only by very few customers under high-impact accidents. The statement also mentioned that the factor of safety for the front forks in the Ola electric scooters is 80 per cent higher than typical loads.
