Ather 450 Range Of Electric Scooters To Get New Features – Atherstack 5.0 Update Coming Soon
Ather Energy continues to be one of the best-selling electric scooter manufacturers in the country with consistent MoM and YoY sales growth.
That being said, the startup EV manufacturer earlier announced the Atherstack 5.0 update for its 450 Plus and 450X electric scooters. The update will also add new features along with a few software improvements.
Apart from that, Ather Energy has also announced that it will be rolling out the AutoHold feature on its new Gen3 electric scooters. It is also worth mentioning that the new AutoHold feature will be available for Ather Gen3 electric scooter users from February, 01 onwards.
Diving into details, the new Auto Hold feature when enabled detects an incline or a decline when stopped and prevents the vehicle from rolling without engaging the brakes or any other input from the user. This feature is pretty handy in various conditions, especially for users in hilly areas.
Also, the upcoming AutoHold feature in the Ather Gen3 electric scooters can be enabled and disabled in the settings menu by the user. Along with this update, Atherstack 5.0 also brings a new user interface that is more intuitive to use. Moreover, it also adds 'Wings of Power' that shows power usage and power consumption while riding the electric scooter.
In the new Atherstack 5.0 update, the company has now added 'Tiles' to the home screen menu in order to help the user quickly navigate through various options such as Bluetooth connection, trip information and Navigation maps. We also expect this new layout make navigation through options to be easier.
Apart from that, Ather has also updated the maps feature which Ather alls as the Vector Maps. Though these new Vector Maps continue to be powered by Google, they now run on an UI that is similar to the one on the smartphone. Moreover, these maps also come with live navigation and traffic.
Additional features the Ather will introduce on its new electric scooters through OTA update include features such as Cruise Control, Crawl Control, and Advance Regen. However, Ather is yet to release the timeline for the release of the above-mentioned features.
