Zontes Motorcycles Launched In India: Chinese Motorcycles Priced Higher Than The Competition
The Zontes 350R, 350X, GK350, 350T, and 350T ADV motorcycles have been launched in the Indian market. This is an extensive range of motorcycles and includes a street/naked motorcycle, a sport tourer, a cafe racer, a road-biased tourer, and an adventure motorcycle. The 350R is the least expensive and is priced between Rs 3.15 and Rs 3.25 lakh.
Zontes is a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer that entered the Indian market only a couple of months ago. The motorcycles manufactured by the brand are pretty stylish and flamboyant and are available in a number of colour options. While the specifications of the motorcycle were revealed earlier, Zontes has revealed the pricing now.

Aadishwar Auto Ride India is responsible for the sales and after-sales service of Zontes' motorcycles in India. Zontes motorcycles will be sold through Moto Vault, which is India's only multi-brand superbike franchise.
Zontes 350R
The 350R is a street/naked motorcycle and looks like a thoroughbred. It is pretty bulky to behold and that's always a good thing in the premium motorcycle space. Along with looking good, the Zontes 350R will be available in Blue, Black, and White colour options. Prices vary according to the colour option chosen. While the Blue shade costs Rs 3,15,000, the other two colour options retail at Rs 3.25 lakh, ex-showroom.
Zontes 350X
The Zontes 350X is a sports tourer and certainly looks the part. The fairing makes it look sporty while the very European-looking LED headlamp up front and the tall windscreen complete the design and styling. It is available in three colour options.
All three colour options are dual-tone. The Black & Gold shade is priced at Rs 3,35,000 while the Silver & Orange, and Black & Green options retail at Rs 3,45,000. The Black & Green colour option certainly makes it look very similar to a certain Japanese sports tourer.
Zontes GK350
The GK350 is the only neo-retro motorcycle among the five motorcycles launched in the Indian market. It is a cafe-racer and features a circular LED headlamp up front. The fuel tank features some straight lines and the seat emanates retro vibes. The bikini fairing and the twin exhaust pipes on the side complete the design and styling.
The Black & Blue colour option is priced at Rs 3,37,000 while the White & Orange, and Black and Gold shades are priced at Rs 3,47,000.
Zontes 350T
The Zontes 350T is a road-biased tourer that looks very much like an adventure motorcycle but is catered more for road-based usage. The large windscreen up front is electronically adjustable, which is a segment-first feature. It looks great and increases competition in the segment.
The Zontes 350T is available in just two colour options. The Orange shade is priced at Rs 3,37,000 while the Champagne colour option retails at Rs 3,47,000.
Zontes 350T ADV
This is currently the flagship of the Zontes range in India. It is a proper adventure motorcycle and looks brilliant. It does look and feel like a proper full-size ADV and that alone should get it to sell well. The 350T ADV also gets an electronically-adjustable windscreen up front.
It is available in the same colour options as the 350T. However, prices are higher. The Orange shade will set buyers back by Rs 3,57,000 while the Champagne colour option retails at Rs 3,67,000.
Zontes 350 Range Engine Specifications & Features
Despite having various applications and characteristics, all of the aforementioned Zontes motorcycles use the same engine. It is a liquid-cooled, 348cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 38bhp at 9,500rpm and 32Nm at 7,200rpm. It also features a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox.
Notable features include TFT instrumentation, four riding modes, dual-channel ABS, a 43mm upside-down fork up front, and mono shock suspension at the rear. Other features include electrically opening fuel tank, seat and headlock. The motorcycles also feature a tyre pressure monitoring system, LED lighting, and dual fast-charging USB slots.
Thoughts On Zontes Launching Five 350cc Motorcycles In India
Zontes' motorcycles make a compelling case for themselves. All of them look great and don't really look like other 'Chinese' motorcycles. The features list is great too, however, the engine could have been a little more powerful to give it that advantage over the competition.
Zontes will be going against the likes of KTM, Kawasaki, BMW Motorrad, and to an extent even Bajaj. In terms of pricing too, the Zontes offerings are more expensive when compared to its competition. Only time will tell if Zontes will manage to sell lots of motorcycles in the world's largest motorcycle market.
