Yamaha R15 V4 MotoGP Edition Sold Out In India
The Monster Energy MotoGP variant of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 motorcycle has been sold out in India. Apart from that, the motorcycle is based on the YZF-R15M variant.
Though the Monster Energy MotoGP variant of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 motorcycle was sold out, Yamaha is yet to release data regarding the number of units sold in India. Apart from that, the Monster Energy MotoGP variant of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.82 lakh (ex-showroom).
Since the MotoGP edition of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 motorcycle is based on the standard YZF-R15M motorcycle, the motorcycle features a single-pod LED projector headlight, split seats, LED DRLs and much more.
The Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 was launched last year in India and the new model featured a major design change that takes inspiration from the bigger Yamaha YZF-R7. Along with the new design, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has also given the new YZF-R15 V4 a whole host of new features.
Starting with the design, the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 looks a bit more mature than the outgoing model and the multi-reflector type LED headlamp setup has been replaced by a projector LED headlamps.
In addition to that, the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 also sports more sophisticated USD forks at the front. Along with this, the aerodynamics have been further refined to improve the airflow around the motorcycle.
In terms of features, the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 sports many advanced features like an all-new LCD instrument cluster, Traction Control System (TCS), ride modes, gear shift indicator, quick shifter, Bluetooth connectivity, and a few more.
Powering the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 is a fuel-injected, 155cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-valve petrol engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). This engine produces 18.4bhp of peak power at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm.
Like its predecessor, the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 features a 6-speed gearbox. However, this unit now comes with a slipper-clutch and a Quick Shifter. Despite the added features, the new Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 weighs just 142kgs.
The new Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 comes in three colour options. The colour options include Metallic Red, Dark Knight, and Racing Blue. Along with this, there is also a new trim called the R15M.
