Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer TVS Motor Company has launched the all-new Ronin scrambler motorcycle in India. Prices for the TVS Ronin start at Rs 1.49 lakh.
TVS Ronin Colour Options & Price List
The TVS Ronin is offered in six colour options - two for each variant level. The base DS variant of the Ronin is offered in Lightning Black and Magma Red and is priced at Rs 1,49,000. The base version of the Ronin sports a single-tone colour and single-channel ABS.
The SS variant level is priced at Rs 1,56,500 and is offered with single-channel ABS and two dual-tone colours - Delta Blue and Stargaze Black.
The top-spec TD variant level is offered with triple tone colour options and dual-channel ABS. The Galactic Grey colour option is priced at Rs 168,750 while the Dawn Orange colour scheme commands a price tag of Rs 1,70,750.
TVS Ronin Engine Specs
The TVS Ronin is powered by a 225.9cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine with a bore and stroke of 66mm each which is aided by a mild-hybrid system. The TVS Ronin's engine produces 20.12bhp at 7,750rpm and 19.93Nm of peak torque at 3,750rpm. The engine sends power to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. The Ronin features an integrated starter generator system which allows for silent starts.
The Ronin features a double-cradle split chassis with a 41-mm upside-down front fork and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear. The TVS Ronin rides on 17-inch 9-spoke alloy wheels shod with 110/70 (front) and 130/70 (rear) tyres.
The TVS Ronin sports disc brakes on both wheels that are aided by either single or dual-channel ABS with switchable modes - rain and urban. The TVS Ronin weighs 160 kilogrammes and has a 1,357mm long wheelbase.
TVS Ronin Design & Features
The TVS Ronin features a vertically stacked round LED headlight unit with a T-shaped unique signature position lamp. The rear end features a crystalline light bar that gives the Ronin a very distinct look. The Ronin also features arrow-shaped LED turn signal lamps.
The Ronin sports gold-painted upside-down front forks, teardrop-shaped fuel tank dual-purpose block-pattern tyres, a blacked-out engine and multi-tone paint options.
The Ronin features a unique round instrument cluster that sits slightly to the left side of the handlebar. The Ronin's digital instrument cluster features trip stats, gear shift indicator, ride mode indicator, connectivity options for TVS' SmartXonnect connected vehicle system (turn-by-turn navigation, calls and sms alerts)and a voice assistant. The Roni's display will also allow turn-by-turn.
TVS is offering a host of accessories for TVS Ronin owners who can personalise their bikes on an online configurator - a first for TVS.
