TVS Motor Sales Breakup: April 2022
Analysing the sales figures in April 2022, it is clear that has improved its YoY sales performance and gained decent traction after the two-wheeler sales slumped in the country due to the pandemic.
TVS Jupiter (60,957 units)
TVS Jupiter yet again retains the top spot as the automaker sold 60,957 units of Jupiter scooters in April 2022.
This means the TVS Jupiter has registered a YoY sales increase of more than 138 per cent and an MoM sales increase of more than 9 per cent.

TVS XL (38,780 units)
The TVS XL becomes the second best selling TVS two-wheeler in India after the company sold 8,780 units in April 2022.
Thanks to the strong performance, the TVS XL's YoY sales improved by almost 50 per cent. Moreover, the MoM sales also improved marginally by 3 per cent.

TVS Ntorq (25,267 units)
The TVS Ntorq is some of the sportiest and geekiest conventional scooters you can buy in India. In April 2022, TVS sold 25,267 units of the TVS Ntorq range of scooters in India.
Looking into numbers, the YoY sales for the TVS Ntorq improved by almost 27 per cent and the MoM sales also improved by a little over 6 per cent.
TVS Sport (12,995 units)
In April 2022, TVS sold 12,995 units of Sport to become the best selling motorcycle in the TVS' product portfolio. Apart from that, the motorcycle is one of the most affordable motorcycles in the Indian market and also offers excellent fuel economy.
In terms of YoY sales performance, sales figures for the TVS Sport improved by 89 per cent. On the other hand, MoM sales figures improved by almost 13 per cent.
TVS Radeon (11,630 units)
The TVS Radeon has been a decent seller for TVS for quite some time now and in April 2022, the company sold 11,630 units of Radeon motorcycles in India.
This has resulted in a YoY sales increase of more than 107 per cent and MoM sales increase of more than 21 per cent.
TVS Apache (7,342 units)
The TVS Apache is one of the most recognisable and desirable motorcycles in the Indian market. However, in April 2022, the company managed to sell just 7,42 units the motorcycle.
This poor sales has severely affected both YoY and MoM sales figures. The YoY sales declined by more than 75 per cent and MoM sales figures went down by more than 73 per cent despite its immense popularity among youngsters.
TVS Star City (6,895 units)
The TVS Star City is some of the best commuter motorcycles you can buy in the country and the company sold 6,895 units of Star City motorcycles in India.
This resulted in YoY sales increase of more than 59 per cent and MoM sales increase of more than 20 per cent.
TVS Pep+ (6,329 units)
The TVS Pep+ is a very compact scooter that is very easy to ride for any beginners. However, the popularity of the Pep+ seems to have taken a slight hit as the company sold just 6,329 units in April 2022.
In terms of YoY sales performance, TVS Pep+ sales went down by more than 22 per cent. However, MoM sales slightly improved as the company managed to sell 5 per cent more compared to the previous month.
TVS Zest (5,123 units)
The TVS Zest is some of the peppiest scooters you can buy in the country. In April 2022, the company sold 5,123 units of TVS Zest scooters in India.
Though not a decent number given the market size, YoY sales for the Zest improved by almost 15 per cent and MoM sales also improved by 3 per cent.
TVS Raider (3,392 units)
The TVS Raider is a recently launched 125cc commuter motorcycle with a sporty theme. The motorcycle also comes packed with a lot of features as well.
In April 2022, the company sold 3,392 units of TVS Raider. However, MoM sales for the new 125cc motorcycle went down by more than 72 per cent.
TVS iQube (1,420 units)
The TVS iQube is the company's first and only EV. Also, the company recently updated the TVS iQube electric scooter in India.
In April 2022, the company sold 1,420 units of iQube electric scooters and YoY sales have improved by 362 per cent. However, MoM sales went down by 21 per cent.
TVS RR310 (403 units)
The TVS RR310 is the fastest and the sportiest TVS you can buy in India. In April 2022, the company sold 403 units of this mean machine in India.
In terms of sales, this has resulted in a YoY sales increase of 36 per cent. However, MoM sales declined by over 15 per cent.
Thoughts About TVS' Sales Performance In April 2022
Analysing the sales performance of Yamaha, we can see that the brand has witnessed growth in overall MoM and YoY sales performance as the company managed to sell a total of 43,968 units in the month of April 2022.
