TVS Motor Company Registers Highest-Ever Revenue & Profit: Great Product Strategy Pays Off?
TVS Motor Company has announced that it has recorded its highest-ever operating revenue, EBITDA, and Profit in a single quarter. The third quarter of the financial year 2021-2022 (October, November, and December 2021) has tuned out to be the best ever for the Indian automotive giant.
TVS Motor Company is one of the well-known Indian automotive manufacturers across the world. The reputation held by the brand's products precedes itself. Be it the sporty motorcycles like the Apache RR 310 or the premium commuters like the Raider.
Be it sporty scooters like the TVS Ntorq or premium commuter scooters like the Jupiter or even the three-wheelers made by the brand, these products are known to be the best in their class across markets. With brilliant products, come excellent sales numbers and with an increase in sales, comes an increase in profits. That's exactly what has happened with TVS Motor Company.
The company has reported operating revenue of Rs 5,706 crore in the third quarter of 2021-22. This is an increase of Rs 315 crore when compared to the third quarter of 2020-21. It is not just revenue in which the company has reported a great increase, but there is also a significant increase in the EBITDA.
EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation & Amortization) for the October-December 2021 stands at Rs 568 crore as opposed to the Rs 511 crore in the same period of the previous financial year.
At Rs 391 crore, TVS' PBT (Profit Before Tax) in the third quarter of 2021-22 was also the highest ever for a quarter. This is an increase of Rs 26 crore compared to the same quarter in the previous financial year. Even the PAT (Profit After Tax) grew significantly.
It turns out that all statistics and figures for TVS Motor Company are in the green for this particular quarter. The company registered a total sales of 8.35 lakh units and two-wheeler exports grew by 12 percent.
These numbers are a cause for celebration and it is quite obvious that TVS has earned this with a barrage of brilliant products in the last few months. With special editions of the TVS Ntorq, the attractive and practical Jupiter, the brilliantly positioned Raider, the super-capable Radeon, and the evergreen Scooty series, the brand has done well in bringing out products that one would want to purchase.
In addition to this, there is the Apache series that never seems to go out of fashion. While the TVS Apache RTR 160 and 180 cater to entry-level buyers, the Apache RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V cater to more premium buyers. There are limited-edition models like the Apache RTR 165 RP and RR 310 BTO to cater to those who want exclusive models.
Safe to say, TVS has covered all types of buyers across all segments till the 400cc mark. It is this brilliant product strategy that has worked in the favour of the Hosur-based brand.
Thoughts On TVS Motor Company Registering Highest-Ever Revenue & Profit
The ethos of a great brand is its desirable products, and TVS has demonstrated this very well indeed. With good products, come more sales and eventually more profits as well. It should be interesting to see what product TVS will come up with next, and if it is as good as their two-wheelers launched in the last few months, TVS Motor Company will be unstoppable.
