TVS RTR 160 & RTR 180 Price List & Colour Options

The TVS Apache RTR 160 is offered in three guises. The base variant of the RTR 160 sports drum brakes along with the three new riding modes and is priced at Rs 1,17,790. The mid-spec RTR 160 sports disc brakes and the three riding modes and is priced at Rs 1,21,290. The most expensive variant of the RTR 160 commands a price tag of Rs 1,24,590 and sports disc brakes, riding modes and TVS' SmartXonnect connected vehicle platform.

The 2022 TVS Apache RTR is offered in a single variant level that sports disc brakes, three riding modes, and the SmartXonnect system and sports a price tag of Rs 1,30,590.

The 2022 TVS Apache RTR 160 is offered in 5 distinct colour options - Matte Blue, Racing Red, Gloss Black, T-Grey and Pearl White. The 2022 TVS Apache RTR 180 comes in just two colourways - Gloss Black and Pearl White.

2022 TVS Apache RTR 160 & RTR 180 Design & Features

Both the TVS Apache RTR 160 & RTR 180 feature a few design tweaks compared to the models they replace. Both bikes sport all-new styling and graphics along with an imposing new LED headlight with integrated daytime running lights on its upper edges. Both bikes also sport a new LED taillight with a signature 3D element that lets everyone else know that you're riding an Apache.

Other changes come in the form of the new TVS SmartXonnect system that can be accessed with the new fully digital instrument cluster. The SmartXonnect system allows for turn by turn navigation along with call and sms notifications, lap timer, crash alert among other features. The digital instrument cluster also sports a gear position indicator, gear shift assist, and also allows users to change the intensity of the display.

2022 TVS Apache RTR 160 & RTR 180 Specs & Riding Modes

Both the TVS Apache RTR 160 and 180 have been put on a diet with the former dropping around 2 kilos and the latter lighter by around a kilogramme. Both bikes are also more powerful than before

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V continues to draw power from an air-cooled 159.7cc single cylinder engine that now produces 15.82bhp at 8,750rpm and 13.85Nm at 7,00rpm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The TVS RTR 180 also retains its oil-cooled 177.4cc single cylinder engine. However, the powerplant now cranks out 16.78bhp at 9,000rpm and 15.5Nm at 7,000rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

Both bikes feature three riding modes - Sport, Urban & Rain - that tweak the engine performance and braking. Both bikes also sport a wider 120mm rear tyre with sporty tread for better grip and better traction in the rain. Also seen on the 2022 RTR 160 and 180 is the new X-ring chain which allows less power loss while lasting longer than a regular chain drive setup.

Both the new 2022 models of the RTR 160 and RTR 180 from TVS sport better performance along with a tweaked design and host of new features. The addition of riding modes is a welcome surprise and something we'll appreciate on the move especially in the rain.
