Powering the Kawasaki Versys 650 is a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, DOHC engine with 8-valves. This engine produces 65.71bhp of peak power at 8,500rpm and 61Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. Like many other motorcycles, this engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission.

On the other hand, the newly launched Triumph Tiger Sport 660 sports a 660cc, liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder engine. This engine produces a much healthier 80bhp of peak power at 10,250rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm. Moreover, like the Kawasaki, the engine is a 6-speed unit.
