Triumph TE-1 Electric Motorcycle Coming Soon: Prototype Completes Testing Ahead Of Reveal

The electric mobility revolution is upon us, and it is easy to see just how impactful these EVs really are. Hundreds of manufacturers across the world have revealed their electric vehicles and the remaining few are working on the development of their own. Triumph is one of those manufacturers that are working on the development of an electric motorcycle.

Triumph is one of the most well-known motorcycle manufacturers in the world. It first debuted way back in 1902 and has since then been making some of the most interesting motorcycles in the world. Some of them broke land speed records while some others proved Triumph's mettle. The point is, Triumph knows how to make excellent motorcycles.

When a manufacturer like Triumph says it is developing an electric motorcycle, the motorcycling world sits up and takes notice because you just know that it is going to be good. When one takes a look at the other brands involved in the development of the TE-1, there is a feeling that it might as well become the best electric motorcycle in the world when it is eventually launched.

For the development of Project TE-1, Triumph has partnered with Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE) and the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG). WAE is the engineering division of the Williams Group which also includes the Williams F1 Team. WAE specialises in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, manufacturing, electrification programmes, etc.

Warwick Manufacturing Group on the other hand brings with it expertise in intelligent vehicles, digital technologies, etc. The resultant Triumph TE-1 motorcycle will be launched later this year. However, the first prototype will be revealed on the 12th of July, 2022. This will herald the arrival of the first proper electric motorcycle from Triumph.

No other details have been confirmed at the moment and all eyes are on Triumph for the 12th July unveil. Along with the prototype of the motorcycle, Triumph will also reveal images and videos of the motorcycle while it was being tested. All details of the motorcycle like performance, range, and charge time will also be revealed on the same day.

The Triumph TE-1 will be among the best electric motorcycles in the world if not the best. We cannot wait to see what Triumph has in store for us motorcyclists. However, the real litmus test for the new motorcycle will be when buyers begin choosing between Triumph's legendary triple-cylinder motorcycles and the new super quiet electric one. Should be interesting to see how this pans out.
