India's scooter market continued to grow in April 2022. The Honda Activa continued to rule the scooter list with the TVS Jupiter and Suzuki Access finishing off the podium list.

1) Honda Activa - 1,63,357 units
The Honda Activa continues to dominate the Indian scooter market. In April 2022, Honda sold 1,63,357 units of the Activa scooter. Honda's sales of the Activa rose by 48.94 per cent (53,679 units) Year-over-Year (Y-o-Y). In April 2021, Honda sold 1,09,678 units of the Activa. Sales of the Honda Activa were more than the next 6 scooters in this list which is absolutely astounding.
2) TVS Jupiter - 60,957 units
The TVS Jupiter was the second best selling scooter in India with the Chennai-based two-wheeler giant selling 60,957 units in April 2022. Y-o-Y sales of the Jupiter grew by 138.39 per cent (35,387 units) compared to April 2021 when the company sold 25,570 units.
3) Suzuki Access - 32,932 units
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki sold 32,932 units of the Access in April 2022 to claim the third spot on the top 10 list. However, sales of the Suzuki Access dropped by 38.20 per cent (20,353 units) compared to April 2021 when Suzuki sold 53,285 units.
4) TVS Ntorq - 25,267 units
The second scooter from TVS on this list is the Ntorq 125 with the two-wheeler manufacturer selling 25,267 units of the sporty scooter. Year-over-Year sales of the TVS Ntorq grew by 26.59 per cent (5,308 units) compared to April 2021 when TVS sold 19,959 units.
Earlier this month, TVS launched a new version of the Ntorq called the Ntorq 125 which added a few first-in-segment connectivity features.
5) Honda Dio - 16,033 units
The Honda Dio was the fifth best-selling scooter in India in the month of April. Honda sold 16,033 units of the Dio in April 2022, which in terms of Year-over-Year sales was a drop of 7.16 per cent (1,236 units) compared to the same period last year. In April 2021, Honda sold 17,269 units of the Dio.
6) Hero Pleasure - 12,303 units
The Hero Pleasure is the first scooter from the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer on this list. Hero sold 12,303 units of the Pleasure scooter in April 2022. This was a 32.76 per cent (5,995 units) drop in sales compared to the same period last year.
7) Suzuki Avenis - 11,078 units
The Suzuki Avenis is the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer's response to the TVS Ntorq and was launched in November 2021. In April 2022, Suzuki sold 11,078 units of the Avenis scooter.
8) Suzuki Burgman - 9,088 units
The Burgman is the maxi-scooter offering from the Japanese two-wheeler for the Indian market. Suzuki sold 9,088 units of the Burgman in April 2022, which was an 11.45 per cent (934 units) gain compared to the same period in 2021 when it sold 8,154 units.
9) Hero Destini 125 - 8,981 units
Hero sold 8,981 units of the Destini 125 in the month of April 2021. Sales of the Destini 125 dropped slightly by 1.53 per cent (140 units) compared to the same period in 2021. Hero sold 9,121 units of the Destini 125 in April 2021.
10) TVS Scooty Pep+ - 6,329 units
TVS sold 6,329 units of the entry-level Scooty Pep+ in the month of April 2022. This was a drop of 22.28 per cent (1,814 units) compared to April 2021 when TVS sold 8,143 units of the Scooty Pep+ in India.
