Ola 200km Challenge: Here’s How You Can Get Free Gerua Ola S1 Pro
Recently, an owner of Ola S1 electric scooter clocked 202km on a full charge. To achieve this feat, the owner was riding his Ola S1 electric scooter in the 'ECO' mode and was doing an average speed of 48km/h.
This feat was shared on Twitter by Mr Karthik and the co-founder of Ola Electric, Mr Bhavish Aggarwal shared his post and said, "Karthik you're a revolutionary in every sense of the word! You've broken records (incl ICE 2ws) by getting 200km range in a single charge on the Ola S1."
In addition to that, Mr Aggarwal also added that Mr Karthik would be getting a free 'Gerua' Ola S1 Pro electric scooter. This is a special edition of the electric scooter launched to mark the occasion of the Holi celebration.
Following this, Mr Aggarwal has announced a 200km challenge for all its customers via a tweet. The ecstatic CEO and co-founder of Ola Electric tweeted, "Looking at the excitement, we'll give a free Gerua scooter to 10 more customers who cross 200km range in a single charge!"
He also mentioned that two customers of Ola have already achieved this feat and he will host the winners of this challenge at the Ola's manufacturing facility in June to take the delivery of the Gerua Ola S1 Pro.
At present, Ola Electric is one of the biggest EV manufacturers in India and the start-up company quickly gained traction in the Indian two-wheeler market. Moreover, the company received more than 1 lakh pre-bookings in just 24 hours after it opened pre-bookings for the Ola electric scooter.
Apart from that, we expect the demand for Ola electric scooters to go up once the electric vehicle charging infrastructure improves in the country. For this, Ola Electric is also working on expanding its charging infrastructure with 4000+ 'Hypercharger' charging networks across major cities in India.
Ola Electric claims that these Hyperchargers are capable of charging the Ola electric from 0 per cent to 50 per cent in just 18 minutes. Also, Ola electric scooter users can monitor the charging status of their Ola electric scooters in real-time.
The Ola the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters look futuristic with their clean and minimalist styling. Moreover, both variants of the Ola electric scooter look identical to each other.
However, there are differences between both variants under the skin. The biggest change is the battery pack used in the electric scooters. Starting with the Ola S1, it uses a smaller 2.98kWh battery pack, whereas the Ola S1 Pro uses a slightly larger 3.97kWh battery pack for additional range.
Despite using similar electric motors, the performance stats also vary between the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters. However, the difference in performance figures could be down to the additional 'Hyper'mode in the Ola S1 Pro.
Thanks to 'Hyper' mode, the Ola S1 Pro is slightly faster than the Ola S1 with an official top speed of 115km/h. On the other hand, the Ola S1's top speed is rated at 90km/h.
In terms of range, the Ola S1 Pro's larger battery pack gives it an official range of 181kms per full charge, whereas the Ola S1 can cover 121kms on a single charge.
Both the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro come with a long list of features such as a digital instrument cluster, reversing mode, cloud connectivity, alloy wheels, disc brakes, telescopic front suspension, keyless app-based access, LED headlights and many more.
