Kawasaki Electric Bike For Kids: Children As Young As 3-Years-Old Can Ride This Kawasaki
Here's a Kawasaki bike that kids can ride and will absolutely love it. The 2023 Kawasaki Elektrode electric balance bike was recently revealed for kids aged between 3 and 8-years-old. It is a little balance bike with an electric motor that is meant to train children in the art of riding at a very young age.
A majority of the riders on the road today learned to ride a two-wheeler when they became an adult. However, the learning curve is greatly reduced by then. The art of riding is best learned at a young age, especially if one wants to pursue a career in riding. To help kids ride better, several manufacturers have launched mini-bikes with various engine specs.
However, real learning starts with a balance bike such as the Kawasaki Elektrode. The biggest difference between the Elektrode and most other balance bikes is that the Kawasaki is powered by an electric motor.
The electric motor in question is a 250W Brushless DC hub-mounted unit. It is completely sealed and therefore is waterproof as well. It is powered by a 36V 5.1Ah battery pack mounted inside the frame.
According to Kawasaki, it has a run time of around 2.5 hours. Charging it up also takes 2.5 hours which is decent enough. At the bottom part of the frame ahead of the battery is the charging port for the battery to be charged.
The frame itself looks unique with its slim hard-tail and rather chunky top section, thanks to the battery pack. It doesn't get any suspension even at the front end. At the front, there is a white blank space for the rider's racing number to be pasted, much like Kawasaki's off-road motorcycle range. Even the colour and graphics scheme is akin to the Kawasaki KX and KLX range of bikes.
Riding positions too can be adjusted easily to suit a rider's requirement. The seat and handlebar feature adjustability and the handlebar can even be swapped out for other designs.
In terms of performance too, the Kawasaki Elektrode is no slouch. There are multiple ride modes Low, Medium, and High. The top speeds in each mode are 8km/h, 12km/h, and 20km/h respectively. The ride mode can only be switched when the Elektrode is stationary and there is an option to even have a password lock for the ride modes.
This way, parents of the kid riding the Elektrode can make sure they aren't going too fast before they are ready for it. The electric motor can also be switched off and the Elektrode can be used as a conventional balance bike. The Kawasaki Elektrode is priced at $1,099 (Rs 85,697) and is not available in the Indian market yet.
Thoughts On Kawasaki Elektrode Electric Bike For Kids Being Revealed
The Kawasaki Elektrode is a perfect tool for kids starting off with their riding career at an extremely young age. It is light, agile, and has a decent pace too. It is the first step in the world of off-road riding and it looks brilliant too. Why should adults have all the fun?
