Honda Hikes Prices Of Its Two Wheelers: Activa 6G, Activa 125, Livo, CB Shine, SP 125 & More
Honda has hiked the prices of its motorcycles and scooters in India. The Japanese automaker has cited the steep increase in the cost of raw materials and fuel as the reason for the price hike.
Moreover, the new prices are effective from the month of April. Depending on the model and variant, the prices of the Honda motorcycles and scooters have been increased up to Rs 1,371.
Speaking about Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), it is the second-largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India and the company sold 3,09,549 units of its motorcycles and scooters in March 2022.

As for the price hike, the highest price hike of Rs 1,371 was received by the Honda Shine drum brake variant. This model is now priced at Rs 76,314 (ex-showroom, India).
The least price hike among the Honda motorcycles and scooters was received by the drum brake equipped variant of the Honda Activa 125 scooter. The price of this model was hiked by Rs 741 and the model is now priced at Rs 74,898.
Moreover, prices for the Honda Activa 6G models were hiked up to Rs 833 and the prices for this model now starts from Rs 71,432 (ex-showroom, India) for the base Activa 6G STD model.
On the other hand, the Honda Activa 125 is available in 5 variants and prices for the Honda Activa 125 scooter range were hiked up to Rs 932. Now the prices for the Honda Activa 125 range starts from Rs 74,898 (ex-showroom, India) for the base Honda Activa Drum brake variant.
With the price hike in place, the top-end Honda Activa 125 LE equipped with a disc brake at the front now costs Rs 83,162 (ex-showroom, India).
Coming to the motorcycles, the Honda CD110 Dream DLX model is now priced at Rs 69,251 (ex-showroom, India) after the price hike of Rs 764.
Prices of the Honda Livo motorcycles were also increased by the same amount and the prices for the model now ranges between Rs 73,938 (ex-showroom, India) for the drum brake variant and Rs 77,938 (ex-showroom, India) for the variant equipped with disc brake.
Coming to Honda CB Shine, this 125cc model is a very successful model for HMSI in India. The Honda CB Shine equipped with the disc brake is now priced at Rs 80,314 (ex-showroom, India) after the price hike of Rs 971.
On the other hand, the more stylish Honda SP 125 motorcycle range now starts with a price tag of Rs 81,407 (ex-showroom, India) for the base drum brake variant and Rs 85,407 (ex-showroom, India) for the variant equipped with disc brakes.
Thoughts About Honda Increasing Prices Of Its Motorcycles & Scooters In India
Though Honda has increased the prices of its motorcycles and scooters in India, the price hike is barely noticeable and we do not expect any buyers to shy away from booking a Honda two-wheeler due to this price hike.
