Honda Africa Twin Launched At Rs 16.01 Lakh - Ready For The Ultimate Adventure

Bookings are now open for the 2022 Africa Twin at Honda's exclusive Big Wing Topline showrooms in Gurugram (Haryana), Mumbai (Maharashtra), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Kochi (Kerala), Hyderabad (Telangana) and Chennai (Tamil Nadu).

2022 Honda Africa Twin Specifications & Dimensions

The 2022 Africa Twin is powered by a liquid cooled 1082.96cc parallel twin engine that produces 98bhp at 7,500rpm and 103Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The Africa Twin's engine is offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

The Honda Africa Twin features a semi double cradle chassis with inverted Showa telescopic front forks with 231mm of travel and the bikemaker's Pro Link suspension setup (with 221mm of travel) at the rear take care of the rough stuff.

Braking duties on the Africa Twin are handled by twin 310mm disc brakes up front that feature four-piston callipers. At the rear, the Honda Africa Twin sports a single 256mm disc brake with a single-piston calliper.

The 2022 Africa Twin sits on 21-inch (front) and 18-inch wheels shod with 90/90-21 and 150/70R-18 tyres respectively.

The Honda Africa Twin is 2,307mm long, 963mm wide and 1,523mm tall. The wheelbase of the Africa Twin is 1,558mm long and the adventure bike's seat height can be adjusted between 810 and 830mm.

The Africa Twin offers 210mm of ground clearance and the bike weighs 239kg in DCT form. The manual transmission version of the Honda Africa Twin is 10 kilos heavier.

Honda Africa Twin Features & Colour Options

The 2022 Honda comes packed with a host of features including four default ride mode settings - Tour, Urban, Gravel and Off-Road along with two rider customizable modes.

The Bluetooth equipped LCD touchscreen now offers better visibility along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Other features include dual LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, a large 24.5-litre fuel tank, adjustable windscreen, and heated grips.

Other features on the Africa Twin include a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), 2-Channel ABS, and HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control).

The Honda Africa Twin is offered in two colours. The manual transmission version of the Africa Twin is exclusively offered in Pearl Glare White Tricolor. The DCT variant is only offered in a Matt Ballistic Black Metallic paint job.
